Cafe Thrive Southampton - Vegan cafe with style! central cruelty free junk food at a great price.

On a recent trip to Southampton, I was super excited to check out the fully vegan Cafe Thrive (SO14 1JX) after seeing their posts of gorgeous vegan junk food on Instagram.


With chunky fries, wraps, a selection of handmade cakes available daily and more vegan drink options then I can shake a stick at, I was in my element.




Plus, a little shop! 





The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and even though it was busy, it didn't feel crowded. There is additional seating upstairs and window bar seats.


I ordered the fried 'chicken' in a bun- and chips- it was so delicious, proper batter like from a chip shop - and it came with a delectable slice of cheeze. I had BBQ sauce on the side incase I didn't like it, but it was proper gooey sticky goodness and was coupled really well with the food!



I also got a 'cookies and cream' mylkshake with squirty cream. It was so delicious- highly recommend one of these! There are loads of flavours to choose from!

In the end, I was too stuffed for dessert (WHAT?!) but we plan to go again soon!

Why have a spelt food names wrong? A recent report from The Gaurdian claims the EU will make it ILLEGAL for wonderful, beautiful vegan food producers to call their food by 'meat names' - eg burgers and sausages- but NOT ILLEGAL for the meat industry to sadistically abuse and slaughter thousands of animals in the name of 'food'- so, I'm just calling things a different name- It may make them seem less appertising to omnis (although, I doubt it will have much effect!) but WE ALL KNOW what they are and they are far more delicious then nostrils and assholes and whatever else is in their 'meat'.

    I really enjoyed reading your article. I realized that eating Vegan Food as well as using science made things can be very beneficial.
