Etsy Favorites :) ...or Favourites in the UK! Vegan gift ideas from local shops- hand made, personalized - What to gift for birthdays, special anniversaries, etc.

Hi there. I'd like to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who reads, follows, likes and supports- it means the world to me! Vegan Prose is almost 3 years old and, more than ever, writing the blogs, chatting with you guys and with the shops we love has got me through the last crazy year! If you don't already, follow Vegan Prose on Instagram  and say 'hi'!

When a special event, such as a birthday, is looming, I love nothing more than getting a big mug of oat milk hot chocolate and settling down at my computer to shop for the perfect present for my loved ones.

I know, it can be a stress buying for someone else, but I simply love the feeling of searching and finding something you know they will love.

I find, without a shadow of a doubt, that I have the most success for this on Etsy.

Etsy offer unique, often handmade or personalized gifts- they also offset their carbon emissions and you are supporting a small business! I also make sure I shop 'local' too , and will only be showing items from the UK.

I wanted to take this opportunity to show you a few of My Favorite finds on Etsy, all vegan friendly- that might just be the perfect thing for your special someone!

You can find all the items featured and more on my Etsy page where you'll see all my fave shops and products, including inspired items for the TV shows and books I am obsessed with! :)

My Current Etsy Faves:

I have recently gone absolutely crazy for Candles!

It is so easy to find great smelling, soy and vegan friendly candles on Etsy (and I have Favorited LOADS if you need ideas!)

Here is a Luxury Hamilton Inspired Candle - 'What Did I Miss'

The shop writes, "You will get hit with hints of Sea Salt & Driftwood, Sweet Honey, and French Lavender, all wrapped inside a stunning container that looks like it is straight out of the 18th century!"

The color is divine, the tin is adorable and I want this so much just to hear Daveed Diggs' voice every time I light it.

"I guess I basically missed the late eighties"

At 200g, that allows for about 40 hours burn time- almost enough time to watch Hamilton all the way through! (Just kidding!)

If Hamilton's not your thing, this shop offers a huge array of candle theme options and their customer service is amazing- I bought 3 sets of badges from them (I loved them so much) and each time I got a hand written note and cute little extras!*

*This candle has notes of sweet honey, but is vegan friendly, as the shop says- burn with piece of mind!

They also have a candle dedicated to my favorite song in Hamilton, 'The room Where it happens'

As well as candles, I love buying pins for people- they are a great way to show you know their personality and what they love- plus with Etsy you can usually personalize your choice just for them!

A Shop I have been following for a long time is Hartiful- they offer a fantastic selection of cute pins and needle minders- they have recently begun personalizing items too with initials, names, slogans- take a look at this adorable gift set, perfect for crafters (the last pin can be personalized!)

This gorgeous deep blue 'Book Powered' battery pin is the next pin on my list! Already owning 'Plant powered' and 'Coffee powered', I am most definitely book powered!
Who knows, If I get enough I could beat Thanos... but then again, I don't think I have the stones.

Hartiful have today launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for some beautiful celestial cat birthstone pins, be sure to find them on Instagram to see how they do- maybe even become a backer like we did!

~

Last but not least, I wanted to mention Outlander. Having just this week been introduced to the series with a 32 hour audio book, I am loving it and can not wait to devour more! (No spoilers please!)

I have found so many candles and mugs that I love for this series...my favourite being a mug featuring Jamie's clan motto (I am ready) - 'Je Suis Prest ...but first coffee'. Perfection.

In my search, I also found a super cute shabby chic sign declaring Jamie's nickname for Claire- 'Sassenach' from Scotland itself! Having lived in the Highlands of Scotland for a time and touring it whenever I can on motorbike or in campervan....I find myself suddenly wanting to go back and spend some more time in stone circles. Funny, that!

It's a Sign!

MandysDogWears also have an adorable selection of dog collars and leads (check out the customer reviews if you don't believe me- SO CUTE!) and another rustic wood decoration featuring 'Sassenach' as well...

Let me know how you find the perfect gift for a loved one, or if you have any suggestions!
I'll leave you with this picture of where I was lucky enough to live for a while... Glencoe.
