 TOOTHPASTE

Item 1 is a natural toothpaste from Georganics. They only use pure, natural and organic ingredients for their products. This toothpaste is gluten free and is English peppermint flavour, in a cute reusable glass jar. You get a stick to apply the toothpaste and it is not too strong. I really enjoy using it, but it took a while to get used to the non-foaming formula. This paste is SLS free and are hand-crafted in small batches.

SOAP

The second item is a large bar of Friendly Soap- natural soap that is paraben, plastic, SLS and palm oil FREE! The flavours differ in each box, I got Peppermint and Poppyseed for my first box and it is nice and easy to use- it obviously saves the horrible plastic bottles that many bodywashes come in, but it is also more natural and pleasant to use!

SHAMPOO

The third item filled me with both excitement and trepidation, I have tried shampoo bars and other natural alternatives before with no luck- they hurt to put on and left my hair REALLY dry and tangled....NOT SO with these little 'kubes'. I have fallen in love with Beauty Kubes - their suplhate and palm oil free product is easy to use, and leaves my hair smelling good and feeling great. the fragrance isn't overpowering and the cubes get wet and paste up really easily, once it's in, it just feels like you are using liquid shampoo.

I think these are a fabulous invention and with 27 cubes in each box, they are perfect for a months washing! The cubes are more than big enough to fully wash long hair. I only wish a conditioner came in the box too!

EAR BUDS

I have a confession to make- I have been using plastic earbuds. It is heartbreaking, but I bought them by mistake- I have used paper buds for many years and misread the package last time and ended up with plastic stems. Every time I used them I had a horrible pang of guilt. That's why these Nordics ear buds are so great, they are made from sustainably grown cotton and bamboo- they are nice and sturdy to use for ears or make up and even the box is made from recycled and recyclable paper! Plus...they're pink! You get 100 in a box, so more than enough for ears and make up should you use them for both in the month.

 HAND CREAM

The final product is a gorgeous little glass pot of hand and body moisturising cream from The Cosy Cottage Soap Company, hand made in Yorkshire! The cream is unlike any I have seen before and each time I put it on, I feel a lovely indulgence. I find many creams dry me out and stopped using them all togheter when I got worried about the chemicals soaking into my skin- but with this little pot I don't need to worry- this natural productis natural and additive free and very luxurious, a nice little addition to an otherwise practical box.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I think this box is a really useful, sustainable addition to anyone's life- if you are trying the plastic free route, if you are vegan and looking for quality, vegan friendly and cruelty free products, or if you are just worrying about the chemicals and want to choose more natural products, this is the box for you!

Pros:

There are actually too many to list in this wonderful box- but, to sum up- it's all in the details for me-

I love the fact that for each box sold a tree gets planted.

I love that they use hay for their packaging, which is great for small companion animals.

The care and thought that has gone into each product is clear, and it makes me love the whole box so much more.

I love the fact that it is the same products each month, no surprises or waste.

Cons:

I would love to try the condioning hair mask from Beauty Kubes too, it would be great to be more flexible in this box, maybe add on items (for an extra cost) or skip a month easier if your products are building up and you need a break.

It would also be amazing to be able to put a STOP on certains smells, 'flavours'- for example, I hate lavender, and orange....I would not enjoy recieving those scents, and I would have to use them for a month- also, my friend gets a headache from Rose. I mean, you could get round this by gifting ones you don't like- but then you wouldn't have soap for a month!

But really, these are tiny things compared to the whole ethics around the box and what they are achieving!

I used a code for this box, but I bought and paid for it- my opinion is always my own.
