Fetcha Chocolates: A Vegan Artisan Chocolate Maker in Scotland and some of the best chocolate I have tasted!
Firstly, a Hello and thank you!
Hey lovelies, thanks so much for clicking! We've had quite a few new visitors to the blog the last month, so just wanted to say a big 'Hello and thanks for visiting!'- showing vegan options and supporting vegan businesses is so close to my heart and this is one is very special.
What's in store?
This month, we added our blog to the Vegan Founded website, which helps quickly identify not only a product that is animals and cruelty free, but also shows that the owners themselves are vegan...creating a "stronger sense of unity between the buyer and business owner." - they recently added a directory which you can find here of many vegan businesses you can support, including this blog under the Professional and Business Services.
One of those businesses, which I found through being Vegan Founded is the award winning Fetcha Chocolates. If you're looking for a delicious and ethical chocolate treat, look no further than Fetcha Chocolates! This vegan artisan chocolate maker is based in Scotland and is owned and operated by Fiona, a passionate chocolatier who is committed to making high-quality, sustainable chocolate.
A word from the owner :)
~
"👋 I'm Fiona, I started Fetcha Chocolates 5 years ago and my wee business has grown by almost double every year 🥳
🌱 I have a degree in Environmental Conservation and I've been vegan 6.5 years which is why the business is 100% dairy-free, palm oil-free and plastic-free ♻️
🌾 The business is fully gluten-free because I want everyone to be able to enjoy yummy treats without compromising ❤️"
All of Fetcha's chocolates are handmade using ethical chocolate and no trace of palm oil. Fiona sources her chocolate from suppliers who share her values of sustainability and fair trade. She also packages her chocolates plastic-free, using compostable and recyclable materials.
Fetcha offers a wide variety of chocolate treats, including traditional Jazzies and recently won two Great British Food awards for their products.
What's in a name?
One of their best sellers is Jazzies. Often called many names (including 'Jazzles', 'snow drops' and even, if you are from Australia, perhaps 'sparkle drops') No matter the name, there is no doubt this vegan alternative is delicious- consisting of a milk chocolate button with hard crunchy sprinkles, these chocolates will transport you back to your youth.
Fetcha's Jazzies are made with delicious, smooth vegan milk chocolate and are available in white chocolate. I found heaven when I mixed them, just a tip from one chocolate lover to the next!
The 'C' word!
For the Christmas season, Fetcha offers a selection of festive chocolates, snowman chocolate bars, Christmas tree lollipops and the very popular advent calendar.
Fetcha's advent calendar is a must-have for any chocolate lover! It features 24 different extra special chocolate treats, all of which are handmade and packaged with love. They also sell a refill pack, so save this years to refill next year!
Whether you're looking for a special treat for yourself or a gift for someone special, Fetcha Chocolates is the perfect place to find the perfect chocolate. The shops 'Classic Collection' were some of the most luxurious chocolates I have ever eaten.
As I tested these, I just kept thinking 'these are such a special thing, they are such a good gift, these are perfect." So next time you're craving a chocolate treat, be sure to check out Fetcha Chocolates, they can be purchased online through their Etsy shop. Follow them on Facebook to find out more.
You can also find Fetcha Chocolates at select retailers in Scotland and in 2022 they opened their first brick and mortar in the wonderful Campbeltown.
